Educational Youth Concerts: The Recipe for Music

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2008, 12:15/1:30 PM

How do you make great music? Start with the right ingredients! Melody, rhythm, and harmony take center stage as they are mixed together with just the right touch under the hand of a master conductor. This program encourages lots of audience participation in helping the DSO to prepare a masterful musical meal that will include Stravinsky’s Firebird, Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance and Gershwin’s Cuban Overture.

Before the Concert

Please come early, be our guest and join in the fun! Before the concert, informal talks about the music to be performed will begin at 7:15pm on the lower level of the Greenville Municipal Auditorium prior to all evening programs. This year’s speaker will be Kevin Salfen.

All performances are held at Greenville Municipal Auditorium. Programs, dates and artists subject to change.
